Adventure Rooms Canada – Kitchener, Ontario

Badge of Awesome Communities invites you to share your favourite things to see and do in cool destinations around the world. We caught up with the folks from Adventure Rooms Canada — one of our featured attractions from the Waterloo Region area — to learn about what they have to offer and what they think makes their community so awesome.

What makes Adventure Rooms Canada awesome?

Adventure Rooms Canada: Adventure Rooms Canada is a thrilling team building activity in which you and your group is locked inside a mysterious room, where you must search for codes, clues and keys, as well as use objects in strange and interesting ways, in order to solve your way through a variety of puzzles and attempt to escape before time runs out!  Our games are unique and challenging, with an average escape rate of just 20%.  Does your team have what it takes?

It is very exciting, but has no scary or horror elements.  It requires no physical exertion and is suitable for ages 8 - 100!  Groups join us for many celebrations including: fun nights out with friends, corporate team-building, birthdays, bachelor(ette) parties, date night, classroom trips, and so much more! We offer games for groups from 2 - 21 players per game, with options for larger groups and free board games when you arrive.  Additionally we have a rentable party space and many more exciting additions to come in 2017!

Adventure Rooms Canada was Canada's 1st 60 minute live room escape game and helped to launch the industry in Canada in 2013.  After discovering the game over in Switzerland earlier that year, we knew that it was something that Canadians would absolutely love.  Since that time, we have opened our first location in Kitchener-Waterloo in fall 2013, and then our 2nd location in Niagara Falls in January 2015.  We have continued to add new and exciting adventures for our fans.  Adventure Rooms Canada is rated the #1 (and #2) Thing to Do for Fun and Games in all of Canada on TripAdvisor (since 2013), as well as being the recipient of the Certificate of Excellence for the past 3 years in a row.  We hope that you will join us for an adventure you won't soon forget!

What makes the Waterloo Region awesome?

Adventure Rooms Canada: Waterloo Region is an amazingly diverse area, which is home to many successful businesses and varied industry. We are a thriving community with a close knit family feeling. Offering perks and activities that you would expect of a larger city, with the coziness and safety of a much smaller town. We have a wide variety of cultural options to explore within our boundaries, including the St. Jacobs area, and of course Oktoberfest!

Waterloo Region truly is a beautiful, old region with many historical points of interest, spacious parks, as well as some truly innovative businesses and building designs. I love the revitalization that is taking place in many of the older factory and warehouse buildings around Kitchener-Waterloo, especially near the downtown and uptown cores, while maintaining a lot of their original charm. We are also home to such successful companies as Rogers, Google, Manulife, Blackberry, Sunlife, Toyota, D2L, OpenText, and more - many of whom love to visit us for regular team building activities, and we are grateful for their continued support!

Waterloo Region also has numerous post-secondary institutions - University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier and Conestoga College, as well as private institutions. With a great balance of all demographics here, we are excited to be launching the LRT transportation hub in the next few years. In addition to our already easy access from all surrounding areas via major highways; including London and Toronto. It's a short drive to visit us and discover all of the wonderful things that Waterloo Region has in store. There is something for everyone!
