Backyard Axe Throwing League (BATL) – Kitchener, Ontario

Badge of Awesome Communities invites you to share your favourite things to see and do in cool destinations around the world. We caught up with the folks from Backyard Axe Throwing League (BATL) — one of our featured attractions from the Waterloo Region area — to learn about what they have to offer and what they think makes their community so awesome.

What makes BATL Kitchener awesome?

BATL: We’re the original Backyard Axe Throwing League (BATL).  Our mission is to show people the power of being good to each other, using the axe as a tool to build community inspired by our backyard roots.  We’re immensely proud to have been the first organization in the world to offer an urban venue to experience the thrill of indoor axe throwing in leagues, walk-ins and private events such as parties and team building.

What makes the Waterloo region awesome?

BATL: Waterloo region boasts a vibrant cultural community that attracts thousands of people each year to visit across southern Ontario.  Whether its Kitchener-Waterloo’s renowned Oktoberfest, street festivals or growing arts scene – or countryside getaways, Waterloo region serves as a hub of food, entertainment and recreation for surrounding communities.
