The city of Calgary itself is awesome but another reason it’s awesome is what’s within an hour or two drive from it. Things like…

    1) Banff (hiking, hot springs, camping, etc.)
    2) Dinosaurs in Drumheller
    3) The Badlands in general
    4) The friendly folks of the Okotoks

Calgary Zoo of course! Going up the Calgary Tower is also a cool perspective to see the city and scout out your next destination 🙂

  3. AllieKat92 says:

    – screaming your head off at a Flames game
    – dancing the night away at Ranchman’s
    – washing away the effects of too many beers at the Banff hot springs

We were at the olympics in Calgary in 1988… fingers crossed we’ll get to say the same thing about the 2026 olympics! Go Calgary Go!

  5. The Kruscheks says:

    – the view from the Banff Gondola
    – Calgary’s famous Corn Maze
    – the folk festival in July
    – wandering aimlessly downtown looking for the best ice cream
    – (doing the Glacier Skywalk is still on our to-do list!)
