If you’re a regular to this blog, you may have noticed that I’ve been a real slacker lately in terms of posting new content. That’s not to say it hasn’t been a hectic few months. Summer was bookended by some A-grade adventuring. In May, I was climbing glaciers and camping on sheep farms in Iceland. By the end of August, I was sipping moonshine while sitting in a Tennessee river.
The space between those two points was no less busy. I’ve been on the road a lot, delivering talks at charity golf tournaments, volunteer appreciation ceremonies and other community events. Meanwhile, Ashley and I packed up and traded concrete for cornfields, moving to an old farmhouse in the heart of Ontario’s Mennonite country. On top of all that, Netflix had to go and release Stranger Things, giving my inner procrastinator more reasons to shirk my bloggy responsibilities.
However, the biggest reason for my online absenteeism is also the one I’m most excited about. Over the past several months, I’ve been working hard on finishing my latest book!
Misadventure Musings: Lessons learned from life’s awesome and absurd moments
is an illustrated collection of 40+ true stories that follows my usual style of combing idiotic experiences from my life with practical advice. The new, printed book is slated for a November 2016 release, so stay tuned for more details on how you can get a copy.
In the meantime, expect to see regular content return to Badge of Awesome. (Assuming, of course, that Netflix doesn’t come out with a new season of Daredevil or The Mindy Project.)
