Inspiring stories. Practical advice. Local support.
Scroll below to find links to practical tools, local resources and wellness webinars based on the course I regularly run for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
From tight deadlines to conflicts with your neighbour, obstacles come in all shapes and sizes. The biggest one I’ve ever faced was an aggressive cancer.
At first I felt outmatched and unprepared. But as my treatment got underway, I discovered I had plenty of coping skills and tools I could leverage โ acquired through a lifetime of blunderful misadventures.
And thatโs what these resources are all about: the little things you can do and the inner qualities you can cultivate to make whatever challenge youโre facing a little bit easier.

Adrie-Anne Gamble, Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling
I support clients experiencing complex trauma, anxiety, narcissistic abuse, family scapegoating, emotional neglect, and estrangement. My approach combines practical skills and solutions for the challenges you are facing now with deeper trauma work to address the experiences and patterns underneath. I integrate EMDR, parts work, attachment-focused therapy, and nervous system approaches to help clients understand their experiences, develop self-trust, and experience meaningful change.

Dr. James D. Pappas, Registered Doctoral Psychologist
My focus is to improve the quality of psychological-and-emotional well-being in clients undergoing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, and relationship difficulties. I practice a collaborative approach to treatment where interventions are tailored to suite the needs, goals, abilities, and learning styles of clients. Clients have a choice to choose from a diversity of evidence/research-based interventions such as mindfulness-based therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance therapy, somatic experiencing therapy, and Gottman couples therapy.
