Badge of Awesome Communities invites you to share your favourite things to see and do in cool destinations around the world. We caught up with the folks from Anna Mae’s Bakery and Restaurant — one of our featured attractions from the Waterloo Region area — to learn about what they have to offer and what they think makes their community so awesome.
What makes Anna Mae’s awesome?
Anna Mae’s: Nestled in the heart of Amish country, Anna Mae’s is family owned and operated and has been serving the community for over 25 years. In 2015 we were featured on the Food Network’s show You Gotta Eat Here! We feature over 17 varieties of homemade Mennonite pies & many other homemade goodies including bread, tarts, muffins, cookies, & cheesecake. All items are baked fresh daily & are available for eat in or take-out. We also have homemade gluten free baking. Our famous Broasted Chicken is a must have and can be enjoyed in our special “Buggy Booth.” Call 519-595-4407 to reserve your spot in our Buggy! Our quaint village also has a Cheese Outlet, Mennonite Furniture Store and quilt shops! Enjoy the scenic drive to Millbank, we would love to serve you!
